About Us
Careyard Support Services (Careyard) is a community-run support organisation that provides tailor-made support to members from different cultural backgrounds for a fully integrated life in the UK. We also support hard-to-reach and long-term unemployed people to work in the care sector. Careyard also supports migrant workers in the care sector to settle and get fully integrated in the society for the best of their experience in working in the UK. Both members and staff have a say in the top decision making panel through representation.
Objectives
- Offering support for the most vulnerable and marginalised members of the society including but not limited to children and people with disabilities and long-term health issues, migrant workers, refugees and asylum seekers as well as members of the black and ethnic minority groups.
- Running different support. programmes for people working in the care sector.
- Providing childcare support for members including after school club.
- Providing vulnerable children’s residential care services.
- Provision of community-based domiciliary care services for vulnerable adults.
- Provision of community-based supported living services for adults.
- Provision of family carers support services such as respite care and holiday breaks.
- Provision of recruitment services and support for individual employers and personal assistants.
- Other support services as members may deem appropriate.
